Face-to-face events at Oakwood chapel are suspended due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. Please see this letter from our Elders for more information.
We had restarted our Sunday services in person at the church, before the November lockdown was announced. Our morning services will continue to be available online here, and our evening services will be relayed over Zoom for those who cannot attend in person. We will restart our in-person services againas soon as the lockdown restrictions are eased.
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and that it should determine all that we do.
Reduced in-person meetings at the church
We have restarted both morning and evening services at the church. We will also be streaming our morning service here, at 11am on Sunday. Our evening service at the church will also be relayed on Zoom. Our prayer meetings and home groups are still meeting on Zoom for the time being. Contact us for the meeting IDs and passwords.
At Oakwood we have various activities for children and young people can study the word of God and learn to be a model to others.
Usually during the morning service, there is a crèche for babies and children aged four or under. If necessary, a crèche can be provided for other meetings. Note that our crèche facilities are currently unavailable due to Coronavirus restrictions.
No Hare Street ladies meeting at the moment, due to Coronavirus restrictions
Most of us find that we can enjoy closer and more meaningful fellowship with people in a smaller group. Oakwood's home groups exist to serve this purpose, and also to provide an environment in which we can share, study the Bible, and pray in a more informal way. We encourage everyone to join our home groups.
